Purchased last summer 2025. Mgr Peter is now not helping fix air leaks. He told me last Friday that windows are supposed to be drafty and no window is supposed to be airtight.

I'm done!

I have photos where I can see my grass through seams of sashes! I want my 15k back, as my utility bills are astronomical from horrific windows.

Won't fix them now, says needs proof to bring back physically to the manufacturer.

I thought you made your windows?

I'm going to hire an attorney if this does not get resolved.

I want to enjoy the investment I made, but I was only robbed of my hard-earned money I spent years saving for to beautify my home.

Your company has me a train wreck and in tears daily.

The Charlotte location in NC here is beyond subpar. All my incidents from the 6-7 times they've been here should all be on record in the system.

The first install was so bad, it had to be redone a week later as I withheld final payment until then.

Now, they won't resolve the issue while I have fiberglass insulation stuffed along seams of my 15k windows, scotch tape plastered all over all the seams of the sashes to stop the cold air from freezing me.

Please advise.

Loss:
$15000
Cons:
  • Higher utility bills
  • Gaps around sashs
  • Massive air leaks

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Run… unless you enjoy watching your money being burned for subpar customer service and sub par product.

  • - Material in driveway for weeks; needs ASAP contact.

I am trying to call someone on my project. My name is [PERSON_NAME], Address [STREET_ADDRESS][PERSON_NAME].

They started our project and realized they did not have enough material. That was about 3 weeks ago, and they said material would be shipped from [GEOGRAPHIC_DATA][PERSON_NAME]. We still have not heard anything from Champion other than you closed the office we were working with. We need to find out when this will be completed.

We have had your material sitting in my driveway for almost a month now. If I knew anyone that could finish the job, I would call them. I have called 4 different phone numbers, and I was given no response. If I do not hear anything today, your material that is in my driveway will be put on the curb of the street.

I am very upset over all of this. They said I could give you a rating when the job is complete. I cannot wait to do so.

Someone needs to contact me ASAP. Ph# [PHONE_NUMBER] [PERSON_NAME]

Just wait until you need warranty repairs. You won't be so eager to give them a 5 star review then.

Customer Service will not return calls

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We called Champion Window about a leaky window and broken siding and trim. A technician came, checked everything, and said we would be hearing from them.

We did not hear from them; we called them repeatedly. Finally, we received a registered letter stating it was not covered because we have a roof/gutter issue.

Our roof life is just now at the halfway mark, and Champion removed and replaced the gutter when installing the siding. They will not provide a copy of the technician's report or give me a way to contact a supervisor or dispute their technician's report.

Cons:
  • Do not back up what they guaranteed

Preferred solution: My window and siding repaired/replaced.

Worst customer service on earth and perhaps the known universe

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Replacement windows were never ordered; teams did not communicate.
  • - Inspect 25-year windows with deteriorated coatings; 180-day delay.

AVOID these people!

I have 15 emails confirming what I thought were replacement windows, but after 4 months I learn that the service department did not communicate with the "customer service" department (unbelievable, but they are not the same). Now they want to start over and come look at the windows.

they originally asked for photos, including the build tags which I provided. all emails indicated this replacement was on track, until I find out they really never ordered or built these and lied to me. Now they want to look at the windows with deteriorated interior coatings and try to "fix" the 25 year old windows that have failed.

The poor guy in the service department is completely overwhelmed, has not time to catch up on calls, and obviously has minimal relationship with the Customer Service, which seems to be mostly just lip service. They need many more employees, but have no clue how to run a business, or they are going under.

They told me it could take up to 180 days!!!

to make replacement windows for me. but now we are starting from scratch. I can't imagine how customers would wait 6 months to fix a defective product, this is far beyond incompetent and is CRIMINAL.

At one time, this company was functional, but those days are over. Don't fall for any sales pitches about any of their products, just know that they are totally incompetent in dealing with any customer service issues.

I would rate them a negative 5 stars if that was possible.

None of the managers or leadership have email addresses available to the public, and they never provide a name in emails from Customer Service.

They function like ICE with their identities concealed, lurking in the alleyway.

I am working to contact Timothy Young, Regional VP and Victor Yanev, Division President to see if the entire company has been assimilated by the Borg or if I am living in a Twilight Zone episode.

Maybe Santa will bring me windows, which would be 180 days from my initial contact with them. Champions of Dysfunction.

Pros:
  • Exist
Cons:
  • Depressing
  • Customer service is atrocious

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered

  • - Quoted 7% for 5 windows; paperwork shows 12.99%.
  • - Customer says they were harassed and threatened with court.

I called on them for 5 windows. The young man was very nice.

He gave no price and no percentage rate because I could not pay up front. He said he was so sure it was 7%, absolutely. When the paperwork came to my mailbox, the interest rate was 12.99%! OMG, 5 windows turned into the cost of 10!

When I called to check on the mistake, too bad you signed the paper; you agreed to the terms. 'No, I did not agree to 12.99%. I will not pay double the percentage rate I was quoted.' I was told he made a mistake. You have to take the windows and pay the cost.

I just laughed at them. I told them I did not have to take their outrageous percentage rate; number one, nobody has come to measure for the windows. I am canceling this transaction right now. I am done with people who will lie to my face to sell windows, especially to a senior on a limited income.

I will not pay for the next '10 years' for 5 windows, that turned into paying double! The young man that lied to me in my living room called to harass me and argue with me that I had to take them. I will not, end of conversation! They continued to harass me several times.

I finally got really angry and told them we can go to court for this if you would like! I am ready to speak to a judge about the outrageous bullying from Champion Windows.

I was furious, the only thing they can hear. Intimidation does not work with grouchy old people not living at just exciting.

Pros:
  • Good windows
Cons:
  • Outrageous interest rate

Preferred solution: Apology

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Champion Windows – Poor Customer Service and Lack of Communication

Updated by user Nov 07, 2024

Updated 11/7/2024Since my last update on October 27, my experience with Champion Windows has continued to be frustrating, with no real resolution in sight despite escalating the issue to upper management.Recent Developments:October 31, 2024: I spoke with Tim Young, a Vice President at Champion, who acknowledged some of my concerns but offered only minimal compensation (less than 5% discount - yet they can charge me 30% of my down payment if I cancel.). While I appreciated the conversation, this offer doesn’t address the considerable time and expense I’ve already invested in managing this project myself due to Champion's continued mismanagement and lack of communication.November 4, 2024: I followed up with Tim via email, providing detailed notes from our call and requesting acknowledgment or additional information.

I hoped this would establish a foundation for improved communication. Disappointingly, Tim has been unresponsive, with no acknowledgment of my efforts to document our interactions or of my request for a clear project timeline.November 7, 2024: I’ve updated my online reviews across platforms, including Google and Yelp, to reflect the ongoing delays and lack of communication from Champion. I have also filed a formal complaint with the Washington State Attorney General's Office in an effort to get Champion’s attention on this matter.Ongoing Concerns:Lack of Accountability and Communication: Champion’s team has consistently failed to communicate with me, leaving me to chase down updates and manage the project myself. Even escalating to a VP level has resulted in little action, with no clear plan or timeline in place for completion.Unprofessional Conduct: I still have not received a formal written apology for the project manager’s unprofessional behavior during his February visit, where he urinated on my property.

This shocking incident set a negative tone from the beginning, and the lack of acknowledgment from Champion has only compounded my frustration.Significant Financial and Time Costs: I’ve now invested over 80 hours and incurred approximately $10,000 in costs due to delays, time lost, and my need to manage what should have been Champion's responsibility. My previous projects with county permits did not experience these issues, further underscoring Champion’s lack of efficiency and attention.ConclusionDespite numerous follow-ups, complaints, and escalations, Champion Windows has failed to meet even the most basic standards of professionalism and customer service.

I regret choosing this company and caution other homeowners to carefully consider other reviews on platforms like Yelp, Trustpilot, and ConsumerAffairs before working with Champion Windows. My experience has been one of extreme delays, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior, and I sincerely hope my reviews help other consumers make an informed choice.

Updated by user Oct 27, 2024

I regret choosing Champion Windows for my home project. From the beginning, this experience has been filled with mismanagement, lack of communication, and significant unprofessional behavior.

Despite high hopes when I signed the contract in February 2024, the journey has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.Timeline of Events:February 8, 2024: I signed a contract with Champion Windows to install an enclosure on my second-story deck. The sales process was smooth, and I felt optimistic about the project.February 17, 2024: The project manager visited my home to verify measurements. During this visit, I found him urinating on the side of my house. This unprofessional and disturbing behavior set a troubling tone for the entire project.May & June 2024: I met with the project manager and an engineer to reconfirm measurements.

Despite these efforts, Champion remained non-responsive, requiring me to repeatedly chase updates.August 1, 2024: After months of delays, Champion finally submitted the permit application to Thurston County. No explanation was provided for the excessive delay, and it became clear that the engineering team failed to submit the correct documentation earlier.September 26, 2024: Thurston County informed us that an HCP (Habitat Conservation Plan) application was needed. While there were no mitigation fees, the project was delayed once more.October 3, 2024: The project manager claimed to have spent an entire day retrieving a document from the county, despite the county having emailed the form a week prior. This inefficient behavior further showcased poor project management.October 14, 2024: I spoke with the regional sales manager, who acknowledged the issues and offered compensation by replacing a door and window at no cost.

However, this was a small gesture compared to the significant inconvenience and stress I’ve experienced.Key Issues:Lack of Communication: From start to finish, I have had to chase updates and repeatedly ask for information. Champion failed to be proactive in communicating project status, leaving me to manage many aspects myself.Unprofessional Behavior: The project manager urinating on my home was not only unprofessional but also highly disturbing. Such behavior should never be acceptable in any business.Continuous Delays: Simple tasks took months to complete, and Champion consistently missed deadlines. It took them six months to submit basic permitting documents, and even then, they failed to handle it efficiently.Mismanagement: As a customer, I found myself taking on tasks that should have been handled by Champion.

From direct coordination with the county to following up on incomplete paperwork, I had to manage this project more than the company did. Conclusion:Working with Champion Windows has been a highly stressful experience. Their lack of accountability, mismanagement, and failure to meet basic customer expectations make it impossible for me to recommend them. This is not what I signed up for when I chose Champion, and it is certainly not the quality of service I paid for.If you are considering Champion Windows, please think twice. Their failures to communicate, manage, and deliver on commitments have made this an incredibly frustrating and stressful ordeal.

I hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.User Recommendation: Avoid Champion Windows if you value professionalism, accountability, and efficient project management. Based on my experience, they are not equipped to handle projects of this nature.

I had high hopes when I signed a contract with Champion Windows in February 2024 for a custom enclosure on my second-story deck, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating, disappointing, and unprofessionaleven reaching the executive level.
Key Issues & Timeline:
February 8, 2024: Signed the contract. The sales process was smooth, and I felt confident in Champions promises.
February 17, 2024: During his first visit to my home to verify measurements, the project manager shocked me by exposing himself and urinating on the side of my house.

This disturbing, unprofessional behavior was not only unacceptable but set a deeply negative tone for the entire project, and I have yet to receive a formal written apology from Champion for this incident.
May-June 2024: Despite my repeated follow-ups, there was no clear communication on project progress. Conversations were vague and provided no real updates.
August 1, 2024: After months of delays, the permit application was finally submitted to Thurston Countymuch later than expected due to miscommunication and errors within Champions team.
September 26, 2024: Thurston County informed us of additional Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) requirements, but Champion failed to inform me. I had to reach out myself to get clarification on these requirements.
October 14, 2024: After raising repeated complaints, Champion offered to replace a door and window on my property as compensation. While I appreciated the gesture, it did not address the fundamental issues of mismanagement, lack of professionalism, and extreme delays.

I requested a discount to reflect the extensive time and effort I had invested to manage Champions responsibilities, but this was denied.
October 31 & November 4, 2024: I reached out to Tim Young, a VP at Champion, in the hopes of escalating the matter to get better accountability and communication. Unfortunately, his lack of follow-up and response has only further demonstrated the unprofessionalism Ive encountered at every level within Champion.
Overall Experience & Impact
Over the past 9+ months, Ive invested more than 80 hours in emails, phone calls, and direct coordination with county officials to manage a project Champion was contracted to handle. This experience has caused over $10,000 in additional costs and lost time. Champions inability to manage or communicate about the project has left me without a clear timeline for completion and feeling constantly neglected.
Conclusion
Champion Windows has failed to meet even the most basic standards of professionalism and customer service.

From the project managers shocking behavior of exposing himself and urinating on my property to poor communication, endless delays, and unresponsiveness from upper management, this experience has been exhausting and costly. I regret choosing Champion Windows and strongly advise others to consider the numerous poor reviews across platforms like PissedConsumer, Yelp, Trustpilot, and ConsumerAffairs before making a decision.
Loss:
$20000
Pros:
  • Salesman bron was very professional and knew the product
Cons:
  • Worst customer experience once contract is signed

Preferred solution: Price reduction

User's recommendation: If you're considering working with Champion Windows for an enclosure project, I highly urge you to reconsider. The level of mismanagement, lack of communication, and disregard for customer satisfaction has made this an incredibly frustrating experience. Champion Windows must take ownership of their projects and start delivering the service customers expect. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them based on my experience.

AI Highlights
  • - Champion replaced windows; install began Nov 2024.
  • - Two large double-hung windows still won’t operate; no response.
  • - Working windows are fine.

I had all of my windows replaced by Champion. I ordered them in August 2024.

The initial install was in November 2024 but some windows arrived broken or the wrong size and the install of those took place early this year (2025). Two of the large windows, one in the bedroom and one in the dining room, have been tweaked, had balancers replaced and frames replaced and they still do not operate meaning those two rooms are still in limbo with the furnishings moved away from the wall and sheets hanging over the windows. They are double hung windows and they can only be partially opened or closed and only with EXTREME effort. I have contacted the local office, the regional manager and the main office trying to get someone out here to discuss my options but I can't get anyone from the company to respond.

This was a very expensive project and the lack of communication and failure of the company to follow-up and make good on their product has spurred me to warn others of the company.

The windows that work are great but having two major windows that don't operate is unacceptable. Proceed with caution if you are considering windows from Champion.

Pros:
  • When they work they are great
Cons:
  • Faulty windows
  • Inability to talk to anyone
  • Many - total lack of communication

Preferred solution: I want a representative to come out and give me options for replacing the inoperable, faulty windows, I want the work done properly without additional cost to me and a partial refund if I have to go to a double pane instead of the triple pane

  • - Seals failed on patio door; replacement ordered.
  • - Replacement door arrived broken; only a handle later, with a year-and-a-half wait and another seal failure.

I had Champion windows and patio doors installed in my home several years ago. I started having seal problems with my patio doors over a year ago and had a company representative come to inspect and place a replacement order.

Several months went by and I called to check on the status and was told the door was shipped but broken. After another extended wait, over six months, an installer came out with only a handle, no door, just a handle. Im still waiting for my replacement door after now a year and a half wait and also had another patio door seal fail during that time.

Why cant I get this issue taken care of in a timely manner? We are in the process of selling our home and would like this resolved soon.

If I cant receive some satisfaction from this correspondence, my next call will be to the Better Business Bureau to issue a formal complaint.

Thank you.
