Champion Windows - Roofing Repair Arrangement Review

Don't use this company! Was told our roof would be done at 8:00 in Wednesday morning & no one showed up so we get a call saying they would be here at 12 cause they were finishing a job up . 12:00 comes still no one! So we call & we get the run around saying they will come the next day. & we were pissed. & they offer us a *** gift card to go to dinner for the inconvenience. So don't go to these people if you want your roof done on time and the day u were suppose to get it done.

Bad service

We had windows put in 2years ago. The caulking around the windows is peeling and looks terrible. I called 4 days ago and have not heard a thing. I was not happy 2 years ago and I am still not. Run do not walk from doing business with champion window company. Many promises are made but no follow through. Turnover with staff is huge. The people they hire to put in the windows do not know what they are doing. The windows are fine but installers are not trained by the factory. I am going to check withe better business bureau. I am not sure how they are getting away with this

Wrong Windows Ordered

I had at least 20 windows replaced in my home by Champion. 2 of the windows were ordered incorrectly by the salesman. I didn't catch the mistake until the windows were installed. The two windows don't match the rest of the house so it is really irritating. After several hours worth of phone calls the best Champion would do is replace the windows for $950. At this point I don't trust them. Even if I had an extra $950 sitting around the house collecting dust I don't trust them to order the windows correctly, install them correctly, and warrantee the work like they promise. They "promise" on their website that their customer service is "unsurpassed". Well I can tell you I have had better customer service at Walmart. They somehow turned the error made by the salesman into my error. Needless to say they won't be the people replacing my windows or the 7 other windows I still need to replace.

Poor Work Review

I personally think if Champion out of Macon keeps letting Mike Emberton of Columbus Ga continue doing work for them without a Business License or Insurance they'll end up being sued eventually. He is slow with his work, doesn't pay his help, that's why he can't keep help but he gets paid.

NJ location in pennsauken

I went to the NJ location in pennsauken with a friend, that is a customer. Overall, if I'm interested in getting windows from this location. I would probably not after my visit. I witnessed a GM that is aggressive, if you speak one sentence, he will respond with two sentence or more. The GM does not have a clear understanding of the CEO Jim Mishler's goal of "unsurpassed customer service" because according to the GM " we are humans and we make mistakes" was his outlook in supporting his comeback. I mentioned comeback because my friend is upset and he was not sincere and always came back with a defensive response. I'm writing this not for anything but for a friend that has been mistreated by this location and it's the least I can do by letting people know the truth. Thank you for reading this.

SCREAMING

This company will scream and yell at you if you don't go with them. If that's what you want go with them. they put in the wrong door and wouldn't change it because somehow it became my fault the door was wrong. Some dave blue me off when I told him thee door was wrong numerous times. a guy called me with a title that he thought was impressive because he said it 4 or 5 times. called me names and did this for 25 minutes. I no longer wish to work with him or any company he works for ever.

I has been eight months for me. Now I just get told someone will call me back.

They don't seem to want to talk to me or respond to my concerns. $10,000+ spent and they don't call back?

This company does not live up to their hype! I hope the next people that live here call someone else, I know I will!

Champion Windows - would not honor contract, non-responsive

I had Champion windows quote the replacement of 9 picture windows. We agreed on a price and delivery date and they took over 60% of the money the day of the order. It was made clear up front that I had a critical install date, which was written into the contract.

After several weeks of delay - with the salesmen telling me he needed to review the order with one person or another I get a call 3 weeks into the 6 week leadtime that they are not going to honor the contract. No explanation. I pressed the issue, met with the installer and division manager (Jack Jones - who could not have been more rude) and was told tough luck. They are not taking the job, 'it is outside of their scope'. When I pointed out they sell replacement windows and I was buying replacement windows they did not have anything to say other than 'they are not going to fulfill the contract'. I suspected (and questioned them aloud) that they did not quote the job with a high enough margin and therefore were backing out of the job - even though I had met all of my requirements, to which they denied but failed to offer another explanation.

I asked them to look for a solution including: selling the windows directly to me so I can have my contractor install them or sub-contract my contractor - both ideas they declined outright.

I was told to call their customer service manager (Karen Miller), which I did and never received a return phone call.

At this point I have no windows, my critical install date has past AND they have not returned my down payment.

I plea with all of you - get the word out, this is not the company to do business with. I will have to take them to court to make this right. Learn from the other consumers who have tried this company. If I had read this site first, I would have steered clear of them.

This is a very bad company to do business with. They harassed us daily before signing the contract.

But afterward when we have problem or question about their work they would not return our call.

Sunny room with a rainy leak

$22,000 and 2 years after completion of our (rain room)sunroom the roof still leaks. The leak started with the 1st rain after completion and continues to this day. Champion did come out 4 times to fix the leak to no avail. So they decided our 10 yr. old home was shodilly built with no Tyvec under the siding and that the J channels around the upper windows were improperly installed by the builder. I told them to come out and fix the problem which we were never made aware of and I would pay the additional expense. Said they couldn't do that. I'd like to tell them where to put their 15 yr. worthless guarantee. YES, I'M PISSED! BUYERS BEWARE!

Windows installed looks really but now my house fills up with flies.tbey been out 3 or 4 times to fix? Every year same problem 30-60 flies in every window!

My 50 year old windows never did such a great job of attracting & captureing flies.My temper is about to FLY high!!

Anyoneelse had or got this PROBLEM??

I am having the same problem with bugs. I have had them out to my house about 7 times since install (one year ago) Every time they come out the problem gets blamed on me or my kids.

The screens are cut way to short on our windows.

And if you look down into the windows one of the three vent holes goes directly out side, but it is inside the screen I have had them out to fill the vent holes with a spongy material to hopefully prevent the bugs (Japanese beetles) but to no avail. They have no suggested that I get a exterminator out here, if they would fix the problem with the screens I would not need an exterminator......so agitated

Salesman made a quote, then claimed he goofed. Right!

Like any smart consumer, I get at least 3 quotes for bit ticket items. In this case -- new windows for my home -- I got 4. Champion's windows appeared to be decent quality, but the quote -- $8,400 -- was $2,200 above the next highest competitor (who had a better window). Since I told the salesman I would NOT be signing a contract that day, there was no high pressure other than the usual "discount if you sign now" line. Seven days later, after not hearing from me and realizing he's lost the sale, salesman called back to say he'd made a mistake in his math. The real quote should be $6,300. I asked him: If I'd signed a week ago, would you have called me back and dropped the price $2,100? Certainly, he said. I laughed and hung up the phone. Bought quality windows through a local contractor. Very satisfied with Polaris.

Champion Windows Installation Review

Horrible customer service. Told my husband let's go with champion. They said windows would be in beforebefore Christmas. Called and called after Christmas no body called back. Then they installed them one was cracked and the slider on the deck didn't work. They said they would be back. I called a month later she she would put the order in just called now and she said by next week. Horrible

Replace Window Under Warranty

One of the big windows leaked out the Argon Gas. Called to replace the window. Rep came out measured window, said it would take 4 to 6 weeks. Waited 5 weeks called to check on status and found out the replacement was never ordered. Another rep came out and measured again said he would order it the next day. Called to check on window and found out it was not ordered until two weeks later. Call to check on it and they say they will call me back. For some reason they can not call the factory to see where it it. It is now going on 4 months, each time I call they say it should be on the next truck.

Dishonest Company

This is the most unethical company I've ever done business with. You would be better off staying as far away from them as possible. Their sales tactics are sleazy. They come In with a high price and keep dropping it. Their corporate office is non-responsive and clueless. They don't even follow their own company policies. They came out to quote windows and siding. They spent over two hours going through a dog and pony show. But their products are not as superior to the competition as they like to think. Do yourself a favor and do not buy from them.

We got a patio room at cost. Our salesman quoted us the price and then fought to keep it for us.

The company pressured him to sell us a significantly higher cost. He met with us and told us that he wouldn't do it and the deal that we were getting was "their cost".

He also informed us that he quit Champion over the way they wanted to handle our project.

Try to strong arm you

Sales dude came out to give us a quote. Now I don't know about any of you but I do my homework and get 3 quotes. The guy seemed pretty cool he played hockey like I do so he had my interest. He gave us the quote and said well my wife and I would like to discuss it and compare. He got all pissed off he said this is not the way itvworks. He then sounded like he was reading off an index card saying this deal is only good tonight. And he will call his manager. Dude I may look ypung but have been around a long time. I am sorry to see that most of these complaints are from you all who actually signed comtracts. Maybe time crunch or whatever but I went woth a great local Chicago company who saved us 2000k.

Window installation

last year I had 6 windows replaced in my home the year before I had 6 windows installed,my point is the first 6 went in great so thought great I'll have the same installer come back seeing he did a great job,one of the windows I had a bad drip cap so we talked about replacing it well it was missed and they never got around to it,so as the weather got warmer the missed drip cap started leaking like crazy from the top and on to the sill and to the floor,I called them 3 times with no call backs!!!!!
